About Tynewater Parent Council

Tynewater Parent Council are a friendly group of parents with children attending Tynewater Primary School and Nursery. We work together with Tynewater PS to be a voice for parents and give our kids the best experience we can.

We raise funds through various annual events such as:

• Summer Fair

• Halloween Party

• Christmas Fair

and we use our funds to support projects including our school’s:

• Reading Cloud

• Hardship Fund

• Class Trips

• Panto

The objectives of our Parent Council are: 

• To work in partnership with the school to create a welcoming school which is inclusive for all parents, guardians and  carers of children attending Tynewater Primary School. 

• To promote partnership between the school, its pupils and all its parents.

• To develop and engage in activities which support the education and welfare of the pupils. 

• To identify and represent the views of parents on the education provided by the school and other matters affecting  the education and welfare of the pupils.
